Our Services

What We Can Offer

Our main area of expertise is in managing & developing tennis facilities & programmes. There are numerous elements that make up this management process:

New Tennis Facility Consultancy / Project Management

  • Over 10 years' experience of setting up new tennis facilities, including identifying and acquiring sites and obtaining planning permission

  • As the management team for the purpose-built Totton & Eling Tennis Centre, we were involved in the entire "Design and Build" process and have a detailed experience of starting a new tennis centre from the concept phase

  • We are currently involved in expansion projects for both our Totton & Eling and Fleming Park Tennis Centres and have detailed experience of this process

  • We are keen to set up more tennis facilities - if you have a project that we can assist you with, please do not hesitate to contact us

Tennis Facility Management

  • We already manage 3 high profile facilities: the Totton & Eling Tennis Centre is an 8-court, floodlit facility with café / bar, club shop and changing rooms; the Fleming Park Tennis Centre is a 4 floodlit-outdoor, 2 indoor facility with access to 10 badminton courts for Mini Tennis Red; and the Southampton Community Tennis Centre is a 12-floodlit-court facility surrounded on all sides by green recreational space and woodland. • The Totton & Eling Tennis Centre opened in November 2004 and in less than 3 years, the membership base grew to over 250, with 220 children and 80 adults attending coaching groups each week.

  • The Fleming Park Tennis Centre opened in April 2006 and within 18 months, over 1500 children had received curriculum time tennis coaching with over 100 juniors and 60 adults attending coaching groups each week

  • The Southampton Community Tennis Centre started in July 2009 and within 10 months, over 3500 children had received curriculum time tennis with a club-based coaching programme reaching over 150 regular weekly participants

  • Across all of our facilities and satellite operations, there are over 600 children and adults playing in weekly coaching groups. Our schools outreach programme delivers to around 7000 children each academic year

  • Prior to Serving Tennis' involvement, tennis operations at both Fleming Park and Southampton Sports Centre were failing badly. After 6 months of our involvement, a complete turnaround was witnessed at both facilities

Local Authority Assistance

  • The Totton & Eling Tennis Centre was built and is owned by Totton & Eling Town Council. In consultation with the Council, several possible sites for a new tennis development were investigated, leading to the eventual establishment of the current site. The Local Authority utilised our expertise to assist the architect in the design of the centre, including the courts, floodlights, clubhouse and surrounding area. We were consulted on an ongoing basis to ensure the project was as effective as possible

  • The Fleming Park Tennis Centre occupies a lesiure centre site and is managed by ourselves and we work in partnership with Eastleigh Borough Council. They have also asked us to manage a 3-floodlit-court facility nearby as a satellite operation

  • The Southampton Community Tennis Centre forms part of an outdoor sports centre which is managed by Southampton City Council. Responsibility for tennis development has been handed to Serving Tennis

  • We believe that these models should form the basis for many similar future developments. By accessing Developer's Contributions and using the expertise of a proven management team such as ourselves, we believe that Local Authorities can build successful leisure facilities such as this. Tennis Development Programmes for Existing Facilities

  • In addition to our major facilities, we also run satellite programmes in nearby areas and link with a mixture of schools-based tennis facilities, smaller clubs with no coaching / development structure of their own, and free-to-use courts in nearby parks.

  • We have the requisite skills and experience to operate both junior and adult development programmes at other existing facilities. If you would like to talk to us about an opportunity, please contact us
